Farmer?s Porch Skirt Finished

Farmers Porch With Lattice Skirt The skirt on the Farmer’s Porch is finally complete. I’m really happy with the look of the panels especially with the smaller “privacy” type of vinyl lattice that I found at Home Depot. The only small project left now is to finish the sides of the two stair cases. I’ve decided to do the side of the stairs with more Cambara wood to match the risers. I’m going to use 3/4″ cambara vertically with a 1″ gap between the boards for air flow. I figure this will be easier to build and look better. Materials The entire porch skirt is built from pressure treated framing, 1-inch pvc trim and vinyl lattice. Not having to paint this lattice is really important to me.

I have no desire to spend my summers doing endless maintenance. The other nice new thing with the porch are the white wood rocking chairs. We got them this weekend as an anniversary gift.
