A can of O'Leary paint and I'm ready to roll. A much-anticipated home improvement project is nearly complete. The final step: painting.   Armed with patience and an ample supply of blue painter’s tape, I’m willing to tackle almost any paint job. But before it’s time to pull out the ladders and brushes, I start at O’Leary Paint in Lansing for many good reasons.  O’Leary doesn’t just sell paint.  The company makes paint and provides first-rate customer service and instruction. Over the years I’ve learned: all paints are not created equal. O’Leary is a Michigan-based company with more than 100 years in the paint business.  Their staff will provide as much or as little help as you may need.  A few years ago when I repainted my kitchen, I relied on assistance from the O’Leary design staff.  I was tired of my sea of off white … floor, countertops, appliances, and walls. They suggested

a rich green.  With slight trepidation I began applying the dramatically different color and was soon overcome with delight.  The paint was their ceramic coat, a real winner in my book. Ceramic coat is a top-grade interior, 100% acrylic, low-odor wall paint, formulated with ceramic spheres to impart excellent stain resistance properties. Finger prints, soil, grease, and many other stains wash off with mild soap and water without harming the film. This product complies with LEED Green Building Rating System GS-1 1 for interior non-flat paints. The current project calls for a paint specially formulated for bathrooms.  I’m all for that.  Even with the bathroom fan going full tilt, it can get pretty steamy in there.  So I’m glad to have a paint that’s up to the challenge.  And now, I’m ready to roll (and brush).
